When to Build Your Wood-fired Oven?
That’s a good question, fairly easy to answer here in central Texas where winters are usually mild. Road, residential and commercial building continues year round with only a few interruptions for weather. So the best time for a wood-fired oven to be built on your property lines up with your preferences and personal schedule.
We’ve found that the outdoor entertaining season here in Texas often continues year round—but kicks off in early spring and carries on in earnest through summer and fall. During the hot summer days, it’s a relief to move baking, roasting and warming outdoors and keep the kitchen cool. That’s one of the big advantages of a wood-fired oven—you can enjoy favorite meats, vegetables, breads and desserts without turning on the kitchen stove. Since getting my wood-fired oven, I’ve learned to prepare almost everything in it—even chocolate croissants and a total Thanksgiving meal.
New customers who want to get full swing into outdoor entertaining often choose to schedule oven installation in the spring, allowing a week to build and time for the oven to cure after it has been constructed. We make it a priority to work with your schedule and to incorporate your ideas for customization.
When your oven is finished, we’ll host a first-fire party for you and your friends around your new oven, provide some neat oven tools and leave you with some tips on getting the most out of your new oven.
